We’re not sure what you’re thinking of when you think of “Winter Camp,” but we are sure you need to update your mental powerpoint presentation. Hume Lake’s winter camp is jaw-dropping fun and most importantly… it’s life-changing. All that to say, don’t bring your grandparents: There isn’t enough medication in the world.

Winter provides a great opportunity to spend time outdoors participating in a variety of activities that arrive with the snow. Campers can enjoy many winter sports including snowboarding, ice skating, and tubing. For campers who like to live on the edge, we also have the extreme adventure of Paintball and the Screamer, our 42-foot leap of faith.

If staying warm is preferred, then the O.K. Chalet is the place to be. We provide some great indoor opportunities such as a Diablo, our new mechanical bull, pool and board games. You can also head over to the Ark and play ping-pong or just hang out with friends in Legends, and learn a little bit about Hume nostalgia while sipping hot chocolate. The NewCov Jr. High Team will be handling all the transportation to and from Hume Lake.

* December 1 to January 12th – $180.00 per camper
* January 13th to January 26th – $200.00 per camper

We are pulling out the slip-n-slide and getting the giant blow up water games, so bring your squirt guns and wear your board shorts and bathing suits (girls 1-piece only, boys no speedos) and be ready for some crazy fun competitions with prizes too! Tomorrow night is going to be an awesome time of connecting as the body and with our Lord through worship. This is the second time around that we have had a United night of worship with all of the groups; SURF, Grounded and the High School Ministry. We are looking forward to entering into the worship together. As a result of the combined service Grounded will be going a half an hour longer (8:30p) tomorrow night.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the Mothers, and those with mothers! Today we want all of our students to clean their rooms, do the dishes, mow the lawn, make dinner, do the dishes and spend time with MOM. So, we will not be having “Let The Games Begin” today in honor of mom.
